Best thing about sharing a work space with Davey?
Having a 'music schedule' now that we work in the same room. I get Tuesdays and Thursdays but I only work until 1:00 which severely limits the range of music I can listen to. Davey gets Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7am to 7pm. Lucky. General rule of thumb is that there's no rocking out before 10am. Plus there are definitely tastes that exceed some personal boundaries. For example, the deal breakers for me are Queensryche, Motley Crue and Great White. Deal breakers for Davey are Bright Eyes, most Tori Amos and Mariah Carey Christmas. We're decently respectful of each other most of the time...the only one who doesn't really get a say is Smashy who sleeps on the couch in our room all day. Sometimes we play Holy Diver for him but mostly he couldn't care less.
Current obsession?
Dave Ramsey's Total Money Makeover and getting out of debt.
Best album of 2007?
Bat For Lashes "Fur and Gold"
Reading material?
Son of a Witch, the follow up to Wicked. Not the greatest read, but once I start a book I can't quit in the middle...it makes me feel like a failure.
Eating?
Always chicken flautas. Never cheesy carrots.
East vs West?
Camping. Camping in Southern California is so different than Pennsylvania. In PA it's you, a tent, a fire, some crickets, some bears and maybe a woodchuck or two. In SoCal it's you, 50 people you've never met at the surrounding campsites and lots and lots of dust. Even still, it's a heckuva good time and those other campers can really come in handy when you forget essentials like tin foil and can openers.
New TV in 2007?
Corner Gas on some Canadian channel that I get with my basic cable. Driest humor ever.
Puppy Fever:
Everyone around here seems to have puppy fever, myself included. Without some serious spiritual interference in 2007 there would have been a new baby Chihuahua named Blaster, a baby mini-dauchsund named Fredo, a baby Bull Terrier and a baby Boxer. It would have been a zoo up in here!
2008?
Start an all-girl tribute band called Maybelline and the Streaks of Disaster..
